Cup Size Conversion Chart
Cup sizes represent volume increments. Each row contains equivalent cups across systems. Note that US and UK cup names diverge from DD onward, and EU / French / Italian / Japanese use a simpler A–L lettering without doubles.

A dash (—) means that cup volume is not commonly labeled in that system. For the largest sizes, the UK and Australian systems offer the most detailed labeling.
How to Use This Chart
Not sure how to read the tables? Follow these four steps to convert any size:
- Find your band size. In the Band Size Conversion Chart above, locate your current band number in the column for your home country (e.g. the US / UK / AU column). Each row in that table represents the same underbust measurement expressed in every system.
- Read across for the target country. Move along that row to the column for the country you are shopping in. For example, US 34 sits in the same row as EU 75, French 90, and Japanese 75.
- Find your cup size. In the Cup Size Conversion Chart, locate your current cup letter in the column for your home system. Each row holds the same cup volume labeled differently per country.
- Combine band and cup. Put the band number and cup letter together to get your full converted size. US 34C becomes EU 75C, French 90C, and Japanese 75C.
For a one-step conversion without reading any charts, the Bra Size Converter on our home page does all of this instantly for any size you enter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about reading and using the international bra size chart.
A bra size chart has two parts: a band chart and a cup chart. First, find your current band number in the band chart row that matches your home country and read across to the target country's column. Then find your current cup letter in the cup chart and read across that same row to find the equivalent cup letter. Combine the two results to get your converted size. For example, a US 34C becomes EU 75C and French 90C.
US and UK band sizes are derived from the underbust measurement in inches, while EU (German) band sizes use centimeters rounded to the nearest 5. Because a centimeter is smaller than an inch, EU band numbers are smaller than US ones — a US 34 equals EU 75, a US 36 equals EU 80, and so on. Japanese sizing follows the same centimeter scale as EU.
No. While both use centimeters, the French, Belgian, and Spanish systems add 15 to the EU/German band number. So EU 70 = French 85, EU 75 = French 90, and EU 80 = French 95. Italy uses the same band numbering as France. Cup letters are the same across these systems, so only the band number changes.
A dash (—) means that particular cup volume does not have a standard label in that sizing system. For example, very large cup volumes above K have no designation in French or Italian sizing. The UK and Australian systems offer the most detailed labeling for the largest cup sizes.
Yes — for DD the volume is the same. However, US and UK cup naming diverges above DD. A US DDD equals a UK E (both represent 6 inches of difference between bust and underbust). Above that point you must use the chart, since US cups use single letters (F, G, H) while UK cups use a mix of single and double letters (E, F, FF, G, GG, H).
The UK and Australian systems extend the furthest, with detailed labels reaching K and JJ respectively. The EU/German system labels up to L. French, Italian, and Belgian sizing typically stops at K, with larger volumes unlabeled. For very large cup sizes, check the UK or Australian column in the chart for the most complete reference.
